EPIC LIST OF EPICNESS
So.... two weeks before I fell off the "post a week" wagon. Oops. But I shall not give up, nor shall I whine angstily about lack of motivation or audience!
(Audience: *breathes huge sigh of relief* Crickets: *are thwarted in their attempt to chirp*)
Instead, I shall write.... A LIST.
(Crickets: *chirp eagerly*)
Not just any list! An epic list! A list of all the stories and 'verses that I must write, that I want to write, and that I will probably never write no matter how imploringly the plotbunnies stare at me!
(Crickets: ........ )
Oh, come on! *sniffs* Well, even if it's boring to everyone else, I am going to do it for myself. That way, five years from now, I can look back on this list and go, "Oh, yeah, I remember that story, lamest idea ever, no wonder it never went any— wait. That's brilliant."
EPIC LIST OF FUTURE LITERARY GREATNESS
1. Stories That I Must Absolutely Write Now
~Oddity Hall (Seriously. Must. Finish.)
~Mutelight (Well, not until NaNo. But still. More immediate than the next list.)
2. Stories That I Really Must Write Soon So the Rabid Fans Don't Kill Me
~Pat and Hwan Ji (I've ranted about them before, so I won't repeat it now. Also, maybe if they get more structure, I'll geta better any title for them.)
~Bredon (.......... >.> )
~Achromatic (The world needs this epic Rainbow Brite fanfic. I know this.)
3. Stories I Really Want to Write Someday, As Soon As They Give Me More Ideas/Motivation
~Supertwins
~Zombiebunny
~Power In the Blood (OH sorta-sequel)
~To the Heart of the Forest (OH sorta-prequel)
~Simon Puck
~Unfading (If I could get a little less EPIC with this one, and a little more practical plot, I might be able to do something with it.)
~Pharr (Possibly the only mystery genre story on this list. Except the MC's psychic. >.> )
~Genie (Really low on the totem, and most likely to slip down to #4. Mainly still here b/c it's so new.)
4. Stories That Are Dead, Jim, Don't Bother Reviving Them, I Don't Need Any More Zombies
~NaNo '05 (The first— and so far, only— novel that I have a finished draft of. First draft, but still. It's sad that it's down here. But I really think it's a darling that has to be murdered.)
~NaNo '06 (Sequel to NaNo '05, or at least set in that 'verse's future. Awesome idea, but I need more than a conceit and an uberMacGuffin.)
~The 25-Hour One-Stop Magic Shop (aka. NaNo '08. This one was fun, but it has too many in-jokes and friend cameos to really be feasible. Even if it did feature Zen.)
~Kittenology (Comic I was planning for the OH 'verse, but I don't really have the patience or stamina to draw my own comic. And I don't know if I could let go of my baby enough to let someone else draw it.)
~Legoria (My desire for an epic allegorical saga will probably have to go unrequited. I have so much trouble reading long series, I feel guilty inflicting them on others.)
~Kyrunal (Speaking of darlings to be murdered! Seriously, I started this thing in middle school. It holds a special place in my heart as firstborn, but you're supposed to sacrifice your firstborn, right? Like Abraham and Isaac. >.> )
Not sure if I shall update this post as priorities change and new bunnies appear to gnaw holes in the old ones, or if I'll just periodically post the whole thing over again. (Not too often, I promise!)
(Crickets: *cheer*)
Oh, har de har, guys.
